Grammy award winning Brazilian singer Roberto Carlos is considered to be the King of Latin Music. His expansive career has spanned 50 years and even today this musical legend continues to make music. Initially finding inspiration through the legendary Elvis Presley, Roberto Carlos began his career in the 1950's during the movement of Brazilian music called Jovem Guarda, or Young Guard. Roberto Carlos has released an enormous catalog of studio albums and hit singles that have truly made him a musical legend within the Latin music world. While most of his songs are sung in Portuguese, some of his songs have also been performed in Italian, English and Spanish which has made his music more recognized on a worldwide level. Recently, Roberto Carlos played in concert to celebrate 50 years of creating music, and an art exhibit dedicated to his life opened in Ibiarpuera Park, Sao Paulo.
