The Rolling Stones are an English rock band. This group is fronted by Mick Jagger, who can usually be seen dancing wildly in the group’s music videos or in concert when the act tours or appears at a festival. Jagger writes most of the group’s songs, along with guitarist Keith Richards. The group’s lineup is rounded out by Charlie Watts on drums and Ronnie Wood on guitar. The band emerged in the early Sixties, as part of what’s been termed the British Invasion. The act was inspired by American blues artists like Muddy Waters, who recorded for Chess Records. The Rolling Stones are proud Rock and Roll Hall of Fame members. They were elected to this select group in 1989. In Rolling Stone Magazine's 100 Greatest Artists of All time, the band came in at number 4. A few of the act’s best known songs include “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” and “Jumpin’ Jack Flash.” Both of these songs were famous long before MTV and the era of music videos. Jagger is famous for his bigger than normal lips, while Richards’ image was an visual inspiration for the Pirates of the Caribbean films. Richards appeared in two Pirates of the Caribbean movies, and was nominated for the Scream Award for Best Cameo in 2011’s Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. Whenever the band mounts a tour, it's a big event in the music business. Many of the group's most famous songs can be viewed online, such as the following music video on YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8_VbImuG71M
