Other Lives is a band from Stillwater, Oklahoma. The group’s original name was Kunek. It released one album under that name. The band’s first album under its current name was self-titled and produced by Joey Waronker. The album’s lead single, for which the band also filmed a video, was called “Black Tables.” The group has been on tour with The Decemberists in the past, which is a group it shares many folk-rock influences. Other acts Other Lives have toured with include Bon Iver, S. Carey and The Rosebuds. In concert at a festival, the band appears quite intense. The act’s music has been featured in many television shows. “Things Fall Apart” was heard in Ugly Betty, while “In the Light" was in Covert Affairs. The five members of this band are: Jenny Hsu, Jonathon Mooney, Josh Onstott, Colby Owens and Jesse Tabish. The band created a Wirewax interactive website called tameranimals.com, which lets users access audio and visual content within its music video “For 12” visual clip.
